Uncollecting is going to Banff Centre

It is amazing how quickly things can shift around in your life when you were not exactly looking for change.

Monday morning, I begin a new job with Strut Creative as their Manager of Interactive. It is going to be a big change for me after spending the last 8 years shepherding the Citytv.com websites through four owners (we started out as A-Channel owned by Craig Media and were subsequently owned by CHUM Ltd., CTVGlobeMedia and finally Rogers), two major brand changes and many different cms systems and server platforms.

That, however, is not the most exciting news (not to say that I am not excited for the new challenges coming my way). Most exciting is that I have been accepted into the self-directed Writing Residency program at Banff Centre to pursue the book project that has been sitting on my writing desk for too long now untouched.

While I am at the Centre, I will also be attending the nextMedia Banff Conference. The timing for these two events in my life could not have come together more perfectly if I had actually planned it.

So, in the next few weeks, look for some small changes to be made to this site, for updates from the conference (I will try to post my thoughts daily from the conference as well as links to some of the work in progress).

Fun times indeed! Roll on summer :)
